Wellness Exams and Vaccinations: It is our goal for your pet to live a long and healthy life. Because dogs and cats age seven times faster, on average, than people, major health changes can occur in a short amount of time. Twice-a-year wellness exams are important for cats and dogs of all ages because they help the veterinarian detect, treat and, ideally prevent problems before they become life threatening.
Our vaccine protocols are tailored to your pet's individual needs and risk of exposure to diseases. |

Drop Off Service: Many of our clients find it convenient to drop their pet off for a few hours or even for the day when it needs an examination or treatment. You can arrange to drop off in advance or just stop in. Dropped off pets must be current on vaccinations, unless ill or other circumstances would prevent recommended vaccines from being administered. |
Surgical Services: All of our surgery patients receive a high standard of care.
These standards include a preanesthetic blood panel, ECG (electrocardiogram), individually tailored pain management, IV (intravenous) catheter and fluids, warm water blankets, careful anesthetic monitoring and a dedicated veterinary technician during surgery and recovery. |
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, even for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. |
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory equipment allows us to provide immediate results for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, cytology and parasite tests. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations. |
Therapy Laser: The therapy laser provides a revoluntionary new approach for treating many conditions including: arthritis, skin conditions, wounds, hot spots, ear infections, gingivitis and so much more. This FDA cleared, deep-penetrating light allows relief of pain through the release of endorphins and stimulates the injured cells to heal at a faster rate. We are fortunate to be one of a handful of veterinary hospitals in Houston who offer this technology! |
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site, which are then tele-transmitted to a board certified veterinary cardiologist for immediate interpretation. |
Radiology Services: Our on-site digital x-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders; and we consult with board certified veterinary radiologists whenever necessary. |
Ultrasound: We perform ultrasound examinations in our hospital as part of our diagnostic services. For your convenience, we also have a board certified veterinary radiologist come on-site to perform more advanced ultrasound procedures. |
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, sealant, fluoride treatment, periodontal treatment for infected gums, digital dental x-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery.
Most pets have evidence of dental disease by two years of age and many older pets have advanced periodontal disease causing pain and loss of teeth.
Our goal is to prevent these problems by offering a variety of preventative products for pet owners to use at home, and with professional dental cleanings here in our hospital. |
Microchip Identification: A tiny microchip implanted under your pet's skin contains a code which can be linked to your name, address and phone number. Most veterinary hospitals and shelters have a scanner which will read your pet's microchip number. Many, many pets were recovered after the recent hurricanes Katrina and Rita because of this simple device. We can microchip any pet, at any age. It is not necessary for the pet to be sedated or anesthetized for this procedure. |
Heartworm, Flea and Tick Control: We stock a select group of products to protect your pet from heartworm disease and several other internal and external parasites. We can develop a program to control fleas and/or ticks for the specific needs of your pet and your particular enviromental situation. We will review the best ways to control these parasites in your house, your yard and, most importantly, in and on your pet. |
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. Many pet owners surrender their pets to shelters due to behavioral problems. Often time there are easily achievable steps which can correct the offensive behavior. Once a medical problem has been ruled out, our veterinarians can advise pet owners on how to approach the situation. We have a extensive library of handouts on behavioral problems and their solutions. |
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance or loss, performance and numerous medical conditions. It is not uncommon for a simple dietary change to make a huge difference in the quality of life for pets with conditions such as allergies, kidney, liver or heart disease, urinary tract health, and other medical conditions. We stock diets made by Hill's Pet Nutrition, Royal Canin (IVD), Nature's Variety, and Purina. |
Pharmacy: We maintain an extensive inventory of pharmaceuticals, nutriceuticals, shampoos, diets, and heartworm and flea preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. For client convenience, we also have an Internet Pharmacy which can deliver most medications, and many other pet products directly to your home or work address.
